Athletics are an important part of City Christian Schools. We view athletics as an excellent opportunity to build Christian character in an individual. Character development results from the discipline of the sport: consistent practice, learning physical and mental skills, controlling reactions, working together as a team, and displaying Christian attitudes.
City Christian Schools is a member of the Oregon State Activities Association, which involves both private and public schools at the 2A level. Our high school sports include soccer and volleyball in the fall;
basketball in the winter; and golf in the spring. Through discipline and hard work City Christian Schools have qualified to participate in state competition for our boys' soccer and our girls' basketball teams. Over the years, the girl's basketball team has received many district awards and won the state championship in 1999.
Jr. high sports include soccer and volleyball in the fall, and basketball in the winter.
Basketball is offered for 5th and 6th boys and girls.
