We believe that each child should be "born again" according to John 3:3,5. City Christian Schools stress a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Students memorize 4 to 6 verses of the Bible each month and receive rewards for their efforts. Each day classes open with devotions and prayer and then a short study on Biblical truths. The high school and jr. high offers a variety of Bible classes including the "Positive Actions for Christ" curriculum. Chapels are held weekly with teachers, pastors or students giving the message. We begin this time with praise and worship, which the students often lead. At times groups perform in church services and participate in outreaches to our city or to other countries. Strong Christian character is developed in students by respect for the Bible, respect for authority, and respect for each other.
City Christian Schools educates the mind and continues to build Christian character daily. This is accomplished several ways; by every day teacher interaction and input and weekly scheduled chapel times. Both in the high school and jr. high, we incorporate small group discussions that focus on personal growth in their Christian lives through question and answer interaction with the students. K-8 has daily Bible class where each student applies Biblical principles to activities of daily living.
